Markus Hoft
Bremen, Germany

I love to sense my body in movement and to share my love and joy about it with an audience. If I have a reason why I’m on this earth it is to share this passion about the human body and dance.

I am inspired by the images of nature and like to invent new images for my dance practice. It is astonishing how quickly we can reach a technical goal just by having the right image in our mind. That is why I try to include images in my teaching. On the dance floor people know me from my high energetic level of dancing. Yes, I like to sweat!

biography: Markus studied contemporary dance at moving arts in Köln and the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance/Dundee (SSCD). He also studies physical theater and action theater, Capoeira Angola, and is teaching Yoga, Pilates and Contact Tango, and is leading a physical theater group (Theater Kreatür). He started to teach Contact Improvisation in 1999. Performing contactimprovisation in Germany and Europe is one part of his way to share his passion about this dance form. With other choreographers or his own „fooldance company“. He is also organizing two contact festivals and choreographing school dance projects. One of his specialties are outdoor dance theater pieces for dance /street festivals. www.fooldance.de
